I’ve always loved fantasy, and all the cool, abstract and complex colors and shapes of magic spells in games and film. Together with the interesting and to me new material ice, I wanted to try making an ice spell effect. I’ve seen a lot of cool ice spell videos and I wanted to try this on myself. I’ve heard about subsurface scattering and how ice was one of the fields it was used for, and I never worked with subsurface scattering before.
